Introducing FontLab Studio 5.1 for Mac OS X |

NEW! FontLab Studio 5.1 for Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7 is the newest version of our high-end font editor. On Intel Macs, it’s up to 2.5 faster than the previous version, and much more stable. It allows creating fonts with up to 65,535 glyphs, which is 10x the previous version’s limit. Creation of OpenType fonts has been improved with Adobe FDK for OpenType version 2.5. And best of all, it’s a free update for all users of FontLab Studio 5.0.x. For new customers, it’s US$649. Note: FLS 5.1 is only available for Mac OS X. For Windows, FLS 5.0.4 is still the current version.

Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility |
Note about Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility
Apple released its new Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”) operating system in July 2011. This version of Mac OS X no longer supports PowerPC-based Mac applications. This affected a number of applications available from Fontlab Ltd.: many of your current FontLab applications do not work on Lion. (Windows versions of our products are not affected by this in any way.)
If you’re on Mac OS X, and are planning to upgrade your operating system to Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, or are planning to buy a new Mac that will have Lion pre-installed, please read this note carefully before you do.
