Millersville, MD - Pyrus North America Ltd. announced the release of FontLab version 3.0, a powerful full featured digital typeface editor. With FontLab, graphic artists have everything they need to produce new fonts, add characters to fonts or change existing characters with perfect accuracy and reproducibility.
The list of new features in FontLab 3.0 includes:
- Native TrueType Editor
- Type 1 Font Editor
- Edit Multiple Masters in Native Mode
- Manual and automatic hinting and kerning
- Make multiple masters with up to 4 axes
- Sophisticated vector paint tools
- Import PC TrueType and Type 1 Fonts
- TrueType delta hinting
- Export PC TrueType and Type 1 Formats
- Supports all language code pages

FontLab retails for $399.95 and will begin shipping June 1, 1998. Hardware requirements include 8MB RAM, SVGA monitor and a Mouse. Software requirements include WIN95 or WIN NT, or OS/2. All products from Pyrus carry a 60 day satisfaction guarantee.
